What makes a Dolly Daydream Original Rag Doll head and shoulders above the rest?
It is the attention to even the smallest detail that gives the dolls their unique character.They can be personalised,at no extra cost,with an embroidered name and date making them an ideal keepsake for births,christenings,21st,bridesmaids etc.
After obtaining a City and Guilds in dress design, I worked in the industry for several years. I then started to make rag dolls in my spare time and travelled the country selling my dolls at large craft fairs.I make sure that all my rag dolls and clothes are made to the highest standard and unlike cheaper foreign imports all the seam are neatened inside so there are no raw edges.My dolls are firmly stuffed so that they keep their shape during play and washing.This also makes changing their clothes easier.
I mostly use cotton fabrics so that the dolls and clothes can be hand washed.All the faces are individually hand embroidered so,therefore, no two are the same.The hair is acrylic yarn.They are filled with polyester fibre to BS5665 to meet toy standards.
There are 3 sizes of rag doll 18,20 and 24 inch, each one having a removable dress with attached petticoat,bloomers and apron,all of which are lace trimmed.You can choose to have a shawl or pinafore in place of the apron.I can supply a wide range of colours,just let me know the basic colour you require and I will do the rest, fabric samples can be sent on request.Or why not have your own fabric made up at no extra charge.
For bridesmaid dolls there is a small extra charge for detailed embroidery,beading and extras such as tiaras,flower head dressses ,wands and baskets.
This 18" Bridesmaid doll has a flower trimmed skirt together with flower ring headress,wings and star wand and the extra charge was £20.
